I bought a drive off ebay without noticing that a part had fallen off of it. I don't have a soldering iron, so I need to get one of those before I can fix it. Ask Vintage Computer Federation forums how to repair it, ask about where the fallen cap and fallen jumper goes. Ask if it is repairable. If not, find a buyer. |

Need to figure out how to use the FreHD thing for my TRS 80 Model 4. Need to aquire a MOLEX power adapter, and then figure out how to consistently boot into this thing. Documentation is kinda hard to parse, so ask VCF if nessecary. |

The brakes on this are very poorly built and consistently are failing, broken breakes cause the bike's computer to freak out and stop accelerating. This makes the (very heavy) Ebike unusable, espeically in the hilly New Jersey terrain I use it in. |

TIn the shop getting the brakes replaced. Using old cannodale in its steed. Wait for the old bike shop to call you back. They fixed the BACK brake and the bike is still throwing issues. Going to fix it myself during lunch, though I am not very hopeful..

Caps getting replaced in the shop. Wait for them to call you. They replaced the caps, but could not get the CD drive to work. Oh well, in the future, we'll have to get a replacement unit. I'll probably opt for a normal PC Engine, a PC Engine GT, or one of the offerings from Analogue since I dont wanna deal with 30 year old CD drives anymore. I also nabbed a everdrive so I dont gotta fight the industry over hucards that I'm not already into. An ok if somber ending. Next step is to plan for when or if I'll ever get that replacement. Not a priority, happy that this saga is done for now tho. |
